Fibre reinforced concrete testing accreditation.
Testconsult's specialist testing laboratory in Harlow has recently obtained UKAS accreditation for assessment of fibre reinforced concrete. Testconsult is now one of the few UK laboratories accredited by UKAS to carry out flexural strength testing to BS EN 1448-3: 2006 and flexural tensile strength testing to BS EN 14651: 2005 +A1:2007.
This type of testing is being used to demonstrate compliance of fibre reinforced concrete, now being used routinely for pre-cast and sprayed concrete elements of tunnel linings, and is being employed by Testconsult materials testing laboratories recently set up to support London Crossrail contracts.
