Testconsult delivers SCXT3000 sonic logging system and equipment training for Baku metro system construction works.
Azerkorpu are one of the largest civil engineering contractors in Azerbaijan, and are currently constructing stations for the extended Baku metro system.
Construction involves installing deep diaphragm wall units around the station perimeter and the stringent Korean specification calls for sonic logging on a high percentage of panels to confirm integrity over the full depth and section.
Azerkorpu have chosen the popular SCXT2000 sonic logging system to carry out this work and Testconsult director Huw Williams was on hand to carry out training during the initial testing phase of the work, demonstrating the equipment to site engineers.
The SCXT2000 can be controlled either through the systems rugged computer or indirectly at the logging winch. 2D and 3D tomography is also supplied as standard, enabling the user to quickly identify areas of low modulus concrete or voiding, should they arise.
