Testconsult conduct SIMBAT dynamic pile load tests on an apartment complex.
Testconsult joined forces with Complete Marine Services (CMS) to conduct a series of highly efficient SIMBAT dynamic pile load tests on the first phase of an apartment complex at Basseterre, St. Kitts.
Twenty-five dynamic tests were carried out over a period of two days using equipment carried from the UK in small cases. The project aim was to prove the load capacity of working ductile iron pipe piles up to 1800KN in some instances. CMS provided an easily transported 1.4 tonne drop mass system that broke down to fit within a shipping container for transport between islands.
This contract demonstrated the ease, effectiveness and efficiency of carrying out SIMBAT dynamic pile testing.
