Indian technical visit.
Testconsult recently participated at the annual Indian geotechnical conference, this year held at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. Over 600 participants took part in the conference covering advances in geotechnical engineering. Testconsult director, Huw Williams, presented a technical paper on the advantages and limitations of currently available non-destructive testing methods.
In addition, Testconsult gave technical seminars on the non-destructive testing methods to the CSIR Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCCBM) , the Indian National Power Training Company (NPTC) and Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation. In addition a site visit was made to the new Signature Bridge project in Delhi to demonstrate testing methods.
The visit was co-ordinated by Testconsult's new distributor in India, Complete Instrumentation Solutions (Pvt) Limited, who are based in Delhi, with additional offices in Pune. CIS's Director, Neeraj Chadah believes that Testconsult's advanced testing systems and software analysis will be popular in India, supporting a growing number of infrastructure projects being undertaken.
